The 1st XI hit a season-low point on Saturday with an embarrassing 7 wicket defeat at home against new comers Shroton.
An ill-tempered match saw five of our top seven batsmen out for a duck as we struggled to reached 88 off 34 overs. Only numbers 8, 9 & 11 reached double figures with wides top scoring.
In reply, Shroton never looked in trouble and only Mark Hancock added a small token of respectability to the proceedings with two late wickets.
Better news however from the 2nds as they enjoyed a three wicket win at Branksome.
Nick Sargent took 4-27 as the hosts were restricted to just over 100 and Pete Griffiths added a welcome 30 odd not out to see his side home.
